  • Visual Cognition Lab Moves to Christopher Newport University!  - May 18, 2009
    Beginning this summer, the Vision and Cognition Lab will move from the College of William & Mary to Christopher Newport, located 25 miles away in Newport News, VA. At CNU, Noah Schwartz will join Urvi Patel as an Assistant Professor of Psychology. Also at CNU, collaboration will begin with Drew Velkey on image analysis and with Sherman Lee on the interplay between emotion and face recognition. CNU is a dynamic and vibrant liberal arts university that has been growing by leaps and bounds over the past 10 years. As such, it promises to provide a fertile environment for teaching, research and intellectual growth.

  • Visual Cognition Lab in the News  - January 9, 2009
    Work being conducted by the VCL was recently profiled in an article in Ideation, the William & Mary biannual research magazine. The article focused on the work being performed by VCL collaborator, Jeanine Stefanucci, looking at the interplay between emotional state and perceptual decisions.
